Al-Motahaden Petroleum Refineries of United Arab Emirates will invest US $500 million for setting up an oil refinery in Pakistan to fulfil the energy requirements. The oil refinery would be set up preferably in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in order to enhance oil refining capacities and economic development of the country. In this regard a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Al Motahaden Petroleum Refineries (AMPR) and Board of Investment (BOI) here on Thursday.
Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Minister of State and Chairman, BOI, Miftah Ismail and Ambassador of United Arab Emirates in Pakistan also witnessed the MoU signing ceremony.-PR
