Section 144 imposed on Kohat

In order to ensure foolproof security arrangements for maintenance of law and order on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal in the district, Deputy Commissioner Kohat Zahir Shah has imposed Section 144 Cr.PC in the district.
Under section 144 Cr.PC, wall chalking, pillion riding, raising of provocative slogans and speeches, assembly of five or more persons at a public place for any purpose, display of weapons, use of loudspeakers except Azan, distribution of objectionable materials, prohibition of tinted glasses on the vehicles, aerial firing, sale of petroleum products in small containers, fire crackers and their sale thereof, standing on rooftops of buildings in the surrounding of procession routes and staying of strangers in hotels and houses that fall on the routes processions would be banned till December 24.
