United States Ambassador to Pakistan, David Hale visited the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the father of the nation, here on Tuesday. He laid a floral wreath as a sign of respect to Pakistan's founding father Muhammad Ali Jinnah at Mazar-e-Quaid, said a statement. He later signed the guestbook on behalf of the US Mission to Pakistan, noting that he was "honored to commemorate the legacy of Muhammad Ali Jinnah."
According to the Ambassador, "The United States shares his founding vision of a democratic, tolerant and unified Pakistan. My visit to his mausoleum has offered me the opportunity to reflect upon his unique vision and accomplishments and their continuing importance to all of us as we work toward a strong and peaceful Pakistan."
