Deputy Chief of the Jamat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, has said that the JI had never been a party to violence and it believed that the life of every human being irrespective of his/ her religion, was sacred.
Talking to a delegation of the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba, which called on him at Mansoora on Sunday. He said that the murder of a single innocent human being was tantamount to the murder of the entire humanity.
He said the JI leadership had always raised voice against every form of injustice and tyranny but it had never supported any unlawful activity. The JI had been condemning the oppression by Indian and Israel, the double standards and Hippocratic policies of the US or European powers or the aggression of the Russians.
Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said that wherever the non Muslim powers were occupying the Muslims lands, Jehad was permissible and also a right of the oppressed Muslims, in such cases, the JI had been extending moral support to the oppressed.
He said that within the country, the JI had been working on constitutional and democratic lines. However, he said that the democratic set up in Pakistan was in the grip of the corruption mafia and corrupt politicians always changed parties to rule on turn. He said that simple change of faces would not bring about a revolution.
Hafiz Idrees impressed upon the youth to make full use of the media to face the challenges from the satanic forces.
He further said the JI had been supporting the revival of the Students Unions in the educational institutions as these unions had been greatly helpful in bringing forth the future leadership.
