The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday issued notices to respondents in response to a federal government's Intra-Court Appeal in promotion of bureaucrats case. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had promoted over 300 bureaucrats on the recommendations of Central Selection Board. His decision was challenged by 64 bureaucrats before the IHC. They urged the court to declare promotions null and void. The federal government filed an ICA in the matter to which a two-member bench led by Justice Aamir Farooq issued notices to all the respondents to appear before the court on January 20.
