Sanghar, Badin LG polls 250 SSU commandos to be deployed

A total 250 Commandos of SSU headed by senior officers will perform duties to maintain law and order during local bodies elections scheduled on January 23 in Sanghar and Badin districts, on the directives of AIGP Security of Special Security Unit Maqsood Ahmed. On the instructions of IGP Sindh, Commandos of SSU equipped with modern weapons, communication system and other accessories will provide foolproof security and protect the lives and properties of general public in the sensitive areas during local bodies elections, said a statement on Friday.
As many as 150 well equipped Commandos of Special Security Unit will be deployed in Sanghar and 100 in Badin during local bodies election to foil if any nefarious designs of terrorists and law breakers. All necessary and foolproof security arrangements have been made in both the districts and peoples are advised to cast their vote without any fear and pressure.
