Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) on Monday imposed heavy fines on meat sellers in violation of Hygiene and Sanitation Rules. According to Chief Commissioner Office, Assistant Commissioner (Secretariat) Islamabad Waqas Rashid, along with team has conducted surprise inspection of food outlets in Bhara Kahu.
During the inspection Rashid imposed heavy fines on four meat sellers for selling sub-standard food items in violation of Hygiene and Sanitation Rules.
During inspections, each meat seller was imposed fine of Rs 30,000 over selling sub-standard meat in poor sanitary conditions without veterinary stamps.
The Assistant Commissioner has sealed the shops whereas during the inspection, a milk seller carrying 90 liters sub-standard milk in vehicle for supply to hotels in Aabpara market was also challaned and the sub-standard milk disposed off.-PR
