Pakistan Ambassador designate to Bulgaria Babar Hashmi has stressed the business community to focus on exploring Bulgarian market as it was a gateway to enter South-Eastern Europe for promoting exports. In an interview with Business Recorder on Friday during his visit to Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), he said there was a great need of strong efforts for boosting two-way trade between Pakistan and Bulgaria.
Pakistani business community should concentrate on exploring hidden potentials of Bulgarian market and assess the demands of Pakistani products, he added. The ambassador urged the business community of Sialkot that they should establish warehouse in Bulgaria as many products including surgical instruments, sports goods, leather products and textile etc could attract the Bulgarian buyers.
He said that business community of Sialkot should focus on this market which would be much supportive in promoting Pakistani products in South-Eastern European market. He further said that strenuous efforts would be made for arranging exhibition of Pakistani products in Bulgaria for the promotion of home-made products to attract the customers. The business community should concentrate on quality and standard of products to attract the buyers in Bulgaira and its adjoining countries, he added.
While talking to Acting President SCCI Muhammad Sarfraz Butt, Babar said that adequate efforts would be made to enhance the bilateral trade. The ambassador urged the businessmen of Sialkot to visit Bulgaria on regular basis to increase trade volume. Earlier, Sarfraz Butt informed the visiting ambassador about the unique export culture of Sialkot which is export-oriented city and hub of cottage industry of the country.
