Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday commended former governor of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan for the welfare and well-being of the people of province and Federally Administered Tribal Areas. "The services you have rendered for the promotion of democracy and the democratic ethos, as well as your selfless adherence to the true spirit of federalism, in conformity with the dictates of the constitution, are laudable," the Prime Minister said in a letter addressed to the former KP governor.
He termed the commitment of Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan as a source of strength and comfort for the values and high ideals upheld by the PML-N. The Prime Minister also mentioned the former governor's support for the polio campaign. He said Sardar Mehtab's interest that he took in the relocation, return and rehabilitation of the Temporarily Displaced Persons during the operation Zarb-e-Azb would be remembered for a long time to come.
