Cold, dry weather likely

The Meteorological department has said that good rain /thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills occurred at scattered places in upper KP, North Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Margalla Hills of Islamabad also received scattered snowfall after five years. Significant rain/snowfall during last 24 hours:
Rain: Dir 98mm, Islamabad (Saidpur 65mm, Zero Point 64mm, Golra 48mm, Bokra 46mm), Malamjabba 58mm, Rawalpindi (Chaklala 52m, Shamsabad 30mm), Saidu Sharif, Muzaffarabad 47mm, Balakot, Rawalkot, Lower Dir, Gariduppata 36mm each, Kakul 35mm, Kotli 31mm, Murree 30mm, Pattan 29mm, Peshawar city 24mm, Kohat, Parachinar 20mm each. Snowfall: Malamjabba, Babusar Top 3 ft, Gallyat, Kaghan, Naran 2 ft, Murree 1 ft.
Weather forecast for today: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Foggy conditions are expected over plain areas of upper Punjab during night and morning hours. Very cold weather conditions are likely to continue in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Malakand, Hazara divisions, FATA and north Balochistan.
