The Lahore High Court has called for a response in three weeks from the National Accountability Bureau in connection with a petition accusing the prime minister of allegedly undermining the Bureau's independence. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf party member Gohar Nawaz Sindhu has argued that the prime minister had recently issued a warning to the Bureau chairman during a public address by trying to influence it. He argues that this "warning" goes against the law of the land.
