President Mamnoon Hussain on Sunday arrived in Jakarta to represent Pakistan at the fifth Extraordinary Summit of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation on Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Shareef. The two-day summit commencing under the theme 'United for Just Solution' comes against the backdrop of unprecedented Israeli violations in the occupied city of Al-Quds, the West Bank and of the unjust blockade of the Gaza Strip.
Pakistan's Ambassador to Indonesia Mohammad Aqil Nadeem said that Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid will participate in the ministerial-level meeting of the OIC, the outcome which will be forwarded to the leaders of the OIC member states on Monday.
He said the holding of the summit is significant in making the world realised that Muslim counties are interested in finding the genuine and sustainable solution to the Palestine issue. Some forty-nine countries of OIC would participate in the two-day Summit.
