State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will hold an important discussion session titled "Credit Expansion in KP-Discussion with Banks and Chambers of Commerce" at a local hotel, here on Monday (today). The event is expected to be attended by presidents of banks, representatives of FPCCI and KP chambers of commerce, business community and senior SBP officials.
It may be recalled that private sector's businesses have been deeply affected due to security situation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. After operation Zarb-e-Azab, the situation has improved significantly and businesses are returning to normalcy.
To provide support to the businesses, particularly the small businesses, in terms of availability of credit, the State Bank of Pakistan is holding this discussion session. The discussion will focus on views regarding difficulties in availability and provision of credit and the solutions to bring improvement in them.
