Qudratullah Khan Marwat, an officer of Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) lastly posted as additional IGP KP was given a farewell dinner here at simple yet impressive ceremony.
He had served in Punjab police for ten years and 16 years in KP. A Gold Medallist in MBA from Gomal University, the officer had an unblemished record and diligently served for the uplift of department and relieve of masses.
Farewell was arranged principally by Dr Syed Kaleem Imam, Kamal Uddin Tipu, Nadir Mumtaz, and Abid Saeed which was attended by other prominent batch-mates of the group.
Qudratullah an officer from the 16th common had joined civil services in 1988. The said batch comprised of 104 officers from the eleven groups. Over the year, of the batch six had died due to aliment, ten left services for green pasture, and six had retired.
Colleagues echoed that it was time for new adventure, retire from work not from life. It is good bye to tension hello pension. Qudratullah recapped his challenges, citing his lawful stance against CEASERS of the times, organisational difficulties and grief of losing his son in law in an act of terrorism.
His rise from humble background and remote area of Lukki Marwat to the top orbit is sheer display of honest, hard and intelligent work despite turmoil milieu. The program had a pictorial slide show, commoner's remarks, and presentation of souvenirs shaded with mellowness of parting of a colleague.-PR
