Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor or Chinese investment of $46 billion in Pakistan is a great gift of China and a game changer for Pakistan. He was talking to Assistant Minister International Section of Communist Party of China Li Jun who met him here on Monday and discussed matters of mutual interest, Pak-China bilateral relations and promotion of ties between PML-N and Communist Party of China
The Chief Minister said China is a very sincere and trustworthy friend of Pakistan, Pakistan government and people are proud of their friendship with China and the two countries are bound together strong ties of friendship and mutual respect. He said the China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a precious gift of Chinese government, for the government and people of Pakistan. Chinese investment of 46 billion dollars is a proof of deep love of Chinese leadership with the Pakistani people as well as confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He said a new era of progress and prosperity will usher in the country due to investment of 46 billion dollars in Pakistan. Pakistani people will never forget this sincere gesture of Chinese leadership and people. Shahbaz Sharif said that vision of 'one belt, one road' reflects economic development. CPEC projects would not only benefit Pakistan but the whole region. CPEC is a game changer for Pakistan. He said the orange line train project is another gift of the President and Prime Minister of China for the people of Pakistan and such a big project has never been launched in transport sector in the country; construction work is being carried out speedily on metro train project as it is a milestone in Pak-China friendship. Metro train project is a big step towards achievement of the mission of public service
He said Chinese President has achieved a prominent status for China in the comity of nations due to his vision and hard work, the growing contacts between PML-N and Communist Party of China are bringing the people of the two countries closer, exchange of delegations at the party level will further expand bilateral relations. Pakistan and China have uniformity in the views over international issues. The terrorists are common enemies of all nations and all groups engaged in terrorists' activities are bad and it is necessary to deal with them through collective efforts. He said that terrorism and extremism is a big hurdle in the way of setting up a peaceful society and should be removed.
Assistant Minister International Section of Communist Party of China Li Jun said China attaches high importance to its friendship and relations with Pakistan and both the countries have similar views on different affairs. The relations between Communist Party of China and Muslim League-N are strengthening. Shahbaz Sharif has played an important role in expanding relations between the two countries. Extraordinary abilities of the Chief Minister are appreciated in China as well. He has played a key role in furthering CPEC project and he has the ability to control difficult situation due to his extraordinary qualities. He said that exchange of delegations of youth parliamentarians will further promote Pak-China friendship. Chinese Consul General Yu Boren, senior officials of Communist Party of China, Provincial Ministers Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Zakia Shahnawaz, Kh. Ahmed Hasaan and officers concerned were also present on the occasion.
