KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has linked restoration of peace in the province with stability in Afghanistan and said that terrorism is global issue and there is dire need of courage and unified struggle to combat it. He said this while speaking at the condolence reference arranged to pay homage to late Haji Haleem Jan Shaheed at Nishterabad Peshawar on Friday.
Speaker KP Assembly Asad Qaiser, Parliamentarians, high ranking government officers, representatives of trading community and social figures attended the ceremony. Glowing tributes were paid to Haji Haleem Jan Shaheed for his services and special prayers were made for his eternal peace. Speaking on the occasion, CM Pervez Khattak lauded the contribution of Haji Haleem Jan and said that his sacrifice would always be remembered.
He said that systematic steps are being taken to curb the menace of terrorism. The CM said that peace is essential in Afghanistan for bringing stability to the whole region. He said that the provincial government, on the demand of trading community had asked the federal government for repatriation of FC troops to the province. He further said that Afghan ambassador is categorically informed for ensuring registration of Afghan refugees in the province and their repatriation to Afghanistan as well. The CM pinpointed that dignified repatriation of Afghan refugees is must for restoration of durable peace in the province.
