National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has begun probe into alleged excessive use of powers and illegal appointments by former chief minister of Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani. According to the NAB sources, interrogation against the Balochistan's former chief minister began on Friday. Sources said Raisani admitted the illegal appointment of three naib tehsildars.
According to the NAB documents, illegal appointment was made with the assistance of former provincial revenue minister Zamaruk Khan. The Chief Secretary and Member, Board of Revenue, also wrote an opposing note. The recruitment of three naib tehsildars were made against the directive of the Supreme Court. Former chief minister of Balochistan Raisani and other officials used powers beyond their authority in the said case.
