Museums Association of Pakistan (MAP) is holding a two-day 2nd National Conference of Museums at Expo Center Lahore on Saturday and Sunday. Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) Director General Kamran Lashari will be the chief guest of this conference, which is being held at the sidelines of 5th Pak-China Business Forum with the cooperation of COMSATS institute.
The Association is working for defining the future role of museums in Pakistan, developing a possible road map for promoting and strengthening its education in Pakistan. MAP spokesman Mr Mohsin Abbas also added that the two-day conference will discuss development of museums and museology after devolution under 18th amendment in KPK, present state of museums in Sindh and Punjab and social status of museums, their role and importance in society.
