Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting on the aviation affairs, here on Thursday. The meeting was attended by Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Secretary Aviation Irfan Elahi, and other senior officials of the government. The participants of the meeting gave a comprehensive presentation to the Prime Minister for steps being taken for creating a premier airline that should be a reflection of the past image of the national flag carrier internationally.
The meeting reviewed progress on bringing the premier airline Pakistan Airways at par with international airlines. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed the authorities concerned that the crew and staff of Pakistan Airways should be trained from best institutions and state of the art services for passengers, not less than any international standards, must be ensured. Except core business, the rest of the services should be outsourced to meet the professional standards, the prime minister added. Sharif stressed that the airline should set high service standards in the world for being the face of the country.
