The Pakistan Peoples' Party Punjab President Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo visited the victims of the Lahore blast at the Jinnah Hospital and inquired about their health. He also conveyed well wishes of the party chairman Bilawal Bhutto and the president PPPP Asif Ali Zardari to the injured ones. He said that the incident was a great tragedy and the PPP stands with the bereaved families.
Talking to media, Wattoo said a deadliest terrorist attack against the vulnerable citizens should be an eye opener for the rulers making false claims every now and then. He also demanded the enforcement of the National Action Plan in Punjab for the safety of citizens. He also urged the government for immediate action against the responsible ones, saying that an effective implementation of the National Action Plan is yet to be materialised in Punjab. He criticised the incumbent government for poor implementation of the Plan, leading to a compromise on the security conditions in the province. He has also demanded the deployment of Rangers to ensure law and order in Punjab. "The Rangers should be given the task to track and eliminate terrorist networks in Punjab," he added.
