Unknown persons attacked an election camp of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at Five Stars Chowrangi, here on Saturday night. PTA MPA Khurram Sher Zaman accused the MQM's supporters of attacking the party's camp set up in connection with the by-election of NA-245. "Five PTI workers, including women, have been wounded in the attack by MQM's men," Zaman said, adding that police acted as silent spectators during the assault.
He claimed that four PTI workers, including two women, went missing after the attack. The MPA urged the Sindh government to take notice of the attack and arrest those involved. The MQM, however, rejected the PTI's allegations, saying that two MQM workers were also wounded in the clash. It is reminded here that two parties are contesting by-election of NA-245, which fell vacant after the resignation of MQM MNA Reham Hashmi.
