Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Reform Ahsan Iqbal today stated, "Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) University will be "university of the future" by incorporating world's best academic models with top faculty recruited through international selection. Ahsan Iqbal advised to develop CAREC University on the lines that would produce future leaders having strong qualities. "Such leaders should have clear regional and global perspectives, critical thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, and sense of duty towards humanity, he urged.
Minister for Planning & Development said that top five to six universities of the world would be approached to seek technical assistance for this university by entering into a strategic alliance with them. Minister pointed out Ambassadors of Central Asian Republics have assured full support for this university. He said that physical infrastructure of CAREC University would be completed on fast track basis and be reflective of regional heritage and said that 100 acres of land has already been allocated to it and more land would be acquired for it.-PR
