Advisor to Prime Minister, and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Central Senior Vice President, Engr Amir Muqam has asked the provincial government, to tender resignation over the corruption and looting provincial exchequer, unearthed in a government-run prime financial institute of the province.
Speaking at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club here on Saturday, he said Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and his rest of cabinet members should step down, following disclosure of corruption and lavishly looting provincial exchequer in a prime financial institute of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that was exposed the campaign of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf-led provincial government and its allied Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) against corruption, he said.
He further said the revelations have clearly proved that PTI and JI were involved in corruption. Flanked the PML-N provincial general secretary, Rahmat Salam Khattak, Provincial Secretary Information, Nasir Khan Musazai, the party nominated candidate for PK-8 by-polls, Arbab Wasim Hayat, and district council member Peshawar, Rahamdil Nawaz, PML-N leader said the allied party, Jamaat-e-Islami had adopted double-standard policy, which was only joined the PTI-led provincial government to enjoy the power and to play role as B-team in the provincial democratic set-up.
Expressing disappointment over KP Chief Minister announcement to probe in the matter, he asked the PTI-led provincial government to immediate quit alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami after the massive corruption, done by the party ministries over past three years in the province. Engr Amir Muqam severely criticised that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, Imran Khan is not a serious politician, who always deceived the nation by holding 'dhrana' and long marches. He clarified that Nawaz Sharif will remain as prime minister of the country, even after the April 24, and claimed the PML-N would re-elect with majority of seats in next general elections.
