A Punjab Agriculture Department spokesman has advised cotton growers to sow only the approved BT cotton varieties till May 15th to achieve a maximum per-acre-yield production. In an advisory released on Wednesday, the spokesman said cotton-sowing had started in the province with an effective strategy to achieve better production this year than that of last year. Growers were also told to take precautionary measures before sowing the seed.
