Acknowledging the courageous role of Pak Army, Frontier Corps and security forces, the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that the whole nation stands united with the security forces in the war against terrorism.
He said that those officers and jawans of our security forces who laid down their lives for protection of motherland were in fact the real heroes and the whole nation held their sacrifices in high esteem.
He expressed these views while chairing a high-level meeting during his visit to Frontier Corps Headquarters at Fort Balahisar, Peshawar, here Thursday.
Inspector General of FC Major-General Mazhar Shaheen Mahmood gave briefing to the governor about the security situation in the region. The security situation in the region was also reviewed in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the Governor said the peace has been restored in the country due to the great sacrifices rendered by our security forces. He said maintenance of lasting peace in the country was the top priority of the government.
He said the sacrifices and role of the security forces in bringing peace and stability to the region was commendable. He said the entire nation is united to protect and defend the motherland from the enemies. The nation has great regard for the soldiers, he added.
The Governor lauded sacrifices rendered by the FC in war on terror and said that FC personnel are fighting the war for the future of Pakistan and said that the martyred soldiers deserved tributes, adding that their sacrifices would not go in vain.
The Governor said entire nation was supporting forces of the country in war against terror adding that all those, who embraced martyrdom deserves tributes adding the sacrifices and the role of the security forces in bringing peace and stability to in this region was commendable.
