The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PPDWP) approved two development schemes of Development Sectors with an estimated cost of rupees 6.36 billion, including widening of Canal Bank Road, Underpass at Jail Road and Underpass Chaubucha, Lahore at the cost of Rs 5.26 billion.
These schemes were approved in the 34th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
According to P&DD spokesman the approved development schemes included:
Widening of Canal Bank Road, Underpass at Jail Road and Underpass Chaubucha, Lahore at the cost of Rs 5.26 billion and (2)Establishment of Ghazi Khan Medical College Dera Ghazi Khan (Revised) at the cost of Rs 1.1 billion.
