Chairman Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Board of Directors (BOD) Khurram Mukhtar said that FESCO Board is adhering to principals of the good governance and taking every possible step for the development and progress of the company so that best services could be provided to the 3.4 million FESCO consumers and welfare of the FESCO employees is also top priority of the board. He was addressing the 148/36th meeting of board at FESCO headquarters.
He directed the FESCO administration to complete all arrangements before the arrival of the scorching summer season and in this connection board approved the Rs 10,864 million O&M budget for the year 2015-16. The board unanimously approved the up-gradation of 4 grid station of 66-KV capacity into 132-KV and its estimated cost is about rupees 800 million. The proposed grid stations are included 66-KV Garh Maharaj, 18-Hazari, Rakh Digran and Kala Bagh.
The board also approved the purchase of 40 thousand 3 phase meters with an estimated cost of Rs 285 million. Similarly, Rs 56 million were also approved for the Automatic Metering Pilot Project for the first time in the history of FESCO. This pilot project would initially start in Madina Town Faisalabad and Tandlianwala.
On the special directives of Secretary Water & Power and recommendation of the CEO FESCO Rashid Ahmed Aslam, the board approved the Rs 5,000 cash prize for the best meter reader of every division of FESCO region for showing best performance in Mobile Meter Reading. The Board granted the approval for the posting of Manager Corporate Accounts Zahid Hassan as Chief Financial Officer FESCO.
The Board constituted a committee for the provision of best cardiac medical treatment to the FESCO employees through WAPDA Hospital Faisalabad and Chairman BOD would be convenor of this committee. The meeting was also attended by the CEO FESCO Rashid Ahmed Aslam, Board Directors Javed Kamal, Syed Zia Alamdar, Rana Ahsan Afzal, Abdul Hameed Chaudhry Noor Ahmed, Company Secretary Masood Salahudin and CFO Zahid Hassan.
