Here's what to expect from Apple’s big annual event today
Apple's most awaited event is soon to start. Along with new iPhones, Apple is rumored to introduce many new things including new operating system and new Apple Watch series.
Apple’s massive annual event is set to happen today at 10:00am PT at the Steve Job’s Theater in Cupertino where the tech behemoth is expected to reveal the next generation of iPhones. Here are all the things Apple is expected to reveal on its big day today.
New iPhones
As always, the main spotlight of the event will be the three new iPhones Apple is expected to announce. The phones are rumored to be called the iPhone XS, the update version of iPhone X, and iPhone XS Max, which will be a bigger model of the iPhone XS. The third iPhone will be a cheaper 6.1-inch LCD iPhone and might be a replacement for last year’s iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, as per The Verge.
The iPhones will probably have faster chip than iPhone X, bigger battery and better camera specs.
Apple Watch Series 4
Apart from the iPhones, the tech giant is also expected to introduce a new Apple Watch, which might get a major redesign since the launch of its original model is 2015.
According to some leaked images, Apple Watch Series 4 might feature a bigger display on the watch for an almost edge-to-edge design and slimmer than the previous ones. The watch is also expected to have an LTE mode and feature watchOS 5 that will have automatic workout detection, better notifications, and a walkie-talkie mode.
iOS 12
The next iOS 12 software update will also be announced at this event that will come in with amazing new updates and better performance. Some new features in the update include Screen Time for tracking time spent on the iPhone, new changes in Memoji, and better notifications.
AirPods, Airpower
Apple is also said to announce a new version of its AirPods wireless headphones that will come with a new wireless chip, case for supporting wireless charging, and support for hands-free Siri activation. Also, it will also introduce its AirPower charging pad that will be able to wirelessly charge up to three devices at a single time.
Apart from all these things, the tech giant is also rumored to reveal new iPads, new MacBook, watchOS 5, macOS Mojave, tvOS 12 availability, wrote Ars Technica.
