Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said the PPP wants an indiscriminate accountability, starting from the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He was reviewing the party reorganisation in Southern Punjab on Friday. He further said the PPP was ready to negotiate with the government on the terms of reference. In another development, Bilawal also reacted furiously for showing Gilgit-Baltistan as part of India in the map used during the inauguration of CASA 1000.
PPP leader Yousuf Raza Gilani attended the meeting while the president of South Punjab chapter of the party could not attend the meeting because of his absence from the country. While briefing the media about party proceedings, Gilani said the party has decided to reach to the party workers in all districts of South Punjab to get their opinion on new party leadership for them.
However, he made clear that chairman of the party would not visit to the South Punjab in first phase. "The party chairman would visit the South Punjab once reorganisation process gets complete," he added. Responding to the refusal by the Chief Justice Pakistan to form a judicial commission, he said the legal team of the party would respond it after examining the letter from the CJP. Further, he said, his party was part of a joint opposition and a formal response would be given after due deliberation by the party legal minds. He said his case was different from the case of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, as he was fighting for the supremacy of Parliament.
