The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority won the 61st National Senior Men's Weightlifting Championship with 105 points. The Higher Education Commission secured the second position with 71 points while the Punjab remained third with 41 points. The authority's weightlifter, Nauh Dastagir Butt, set three new national records during the championship in snatch, clean jerk and total categories. The Pakistan Weightlifting Federation arranged the three-day championship. The medal tally leaves the authority with five gold and three silver while the commission one gold, four silver and two bronze.
The Punjab secured one gold and four bronze. The weightlifters testing their power in eight different categories also included those from the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Railways, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
