Four members of the same family killed when a car fell into River Swat in Mankiyal area of the Tehsil Bahrain, district Swat. Those killed were included husband, wife and their two children and driver of the vehicle. The body of a child was recovered while search for the remaining was in progress.
According to police, the driver was reversing the vehicle, but due dilapidated conditions of the road it fallen into River Swat, resulting in the drowning of five persons. With the efforts of the local volunteers, the police succeeded in the recovery of the body of a child while search for the recovery of the remaining four persons was continued.
Kalam Road of district Swat had turned into a death-well after devastated flood of 2010 and accidents on the road has become a routine matter resulting in the deaths of the people.
