Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that so-called freedom fight misguided our youth and damaged the interests and development process of Balochistan. He was addressing a ceremony here on Wednesday which was also attended by Commander Southern Command, Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz, Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chattha, provincial ministers, parliamentarians and senior civil and military officials. He said, "So-called freedom fight launched by militants damaged our youth, development process in Balochistan and destroyed several families."
He, however, warned that no one would now be allowed to implement nefarious designs in the province. He said that anti-Pakistan elements used youth in their so-called freedom movement and gave guns in their hands instead of pens. He said that our educational institutions were destroyed by victimizing teachers in targeted killings.
He said that Balochistan was rich in natural resources and there was need to utilise them by increasing capacity building of our youth through educational and professional training courses.
He said that Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif would lay down foundation stone of NIST in Quetta which would play a pivotal role in promotion of standard education. He said that the incumbent government has introduced reforms in Public Service Commission of Balochistan in order to ensure recruitment of candidates against vacant posts in government departments purely on merit basis. He said that his government had allocated adequate funds for the provision of laptops to youth for their capacity building. He said that Pak Army, Frontier Cops, Police and Levies Force played their remarkable role for the restoration of peace in Balochistan.
He said that the remarks of Air Chief Marshal made him proud and happy when he told him during a meeting that youth of Balochistan taken in Pakistan Air Force have been showing their best skills and performance. The Chief Minister distributed laptops among 160 position holders students of different universities of the province.
