Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Thursday suspended the membership of MNA Chaudhry Asad-ur-Rehman who is also Chairman of the Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges for remainder of the session of the House.
The Speaker, while suspending the membership said, "Chaudhry Asad ur Rehman, MNA/ Chairman Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges came in front of the Table Officers; i) Tore-off an official communication sent to him from Speaker and threw the pieces thereof on the faces of the Table Officers, during the proceedings of the House on 18th May, 2016 , ii) Shouted at them and threatened them of dire consequences, (iii) Adopted highly unbecoming behaviour and intimidated them and said: He would do whatever he wished to do; the rule is what he desired; he did not care for any direction of anybody.
