Wang Yi to lead Chinese delegation at UN General Assembly’s general debate
BEIJING: Chinese Foreign Minister Want Yi will lead Chinese delegation to attend the general debate of the 73rd session of the United National Assembly on September 25, a spokesperson of Chinese foreign ministry announced on Monday.
“The 73rd session of the UN General Assembly will open at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on September 18 and will hold a general debate on the 25th,” Geng Shuang said during his regular press briefing held here.
He said that State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will lead a delegation to attend the general debate of the UN General Assembly and make a comprehensive speech on China's position and proposition on the current international situation and major international and regional issues.
China, he said, is willing to work with UN member states to adhere to multilateralism and safeguard the authority and role of the United Nations to jointly promote world peace and development.
