The Met Office on Wednesday forecast hot and dry weather for most parts of the country. However, a very hot weather is expected to continue battering the plains Punjab, central and southern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, upper Sindh, Sibbi and Makran divisions. It said that dust-thunderstorm coupled with rain and gusty winds were expected at isolated places in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan and Sahiwal divisions, besides Fata, Islamabad and Kashmir. Dust raising winds are also likely in Multan, D.G khan, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad divisions.
"Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan with its trough extending south-eastwards. Weak moist currents are penetrating in eastern parts of the country and likely to continue during next 48 hours," it said. Jacobabad was the hottest place in the country with 51 degree Celsius, Dadu, Turbat and Shaheed Benazirabad 49, each, Sibbi 48, Rahim Yar Khan, Moenjodaro, Bahwalnagar and Sukkur 47, each, Larkana, Dalbandin, Padidan, Bhakkar, Rohri, Noorpurthal, Nokkundi and Bahawalpur 46, each, in the last 234 hours.
