PML-N leader's visit to Iran following an invitation by the Iranian Foreign Ministry could cement relations between the neighbouring countries, analysts believed. They believed the visit a few days ago came in the background of a volatile development seeing a string of conspiracies at full throttle to mar the Pakistan-Iran relations after the Chabahar Port deal between India, Iran and Afghanistan.
The trilateral transit agreement signed by India, Iran and Afghanistan in May this year allows Indian goods to reach Afghanistan through Iran and links ports in the western coast of India to the Chabahar Port and covers the road and rail links between Chabahar and the Afghan border.
Muhammad Mehdi, PML-N leader, too made a cheerful address at the Iran National Conference held at the National Library in Tehran last week. Spiritual icon Imam Ayatollah Khomeini' grandson, Hassan Khomeini, took part in a galaxy of global intellectuals who talked about multiple challenges being confronted by Islamic countries and their positive solutions.
