To speed up a computer, turn off Windows' search function

If you never really need the Windows search function, you can simply deactivate it and watch how your computer improves its system performance.
The reason is that during active search, the so-called indexing service is constantly running in the background, for instance in noting changes to your files so that you can find them by typing just part of a word.
To turn indexing off, press the key combination "Windows+R," enter "services.msc" (without quotes), click "OK" and double click on the entry "Windows Search." Under "General/Startup type," select "disabled" and click "OK" to confirm.
