Senate body for establishing anti-drug laboratories in provinces

Senate Standing Committee on Interior on Monday emphasised that anti-narcotics laboratories must be established in all provinces to curb drug usage and bring to book those involved in this heinous business. Narcotics Division has revised a PC-1 to establish state-of-the-art laboratory in Federal Capital with another objective to further improve ANF's conviction rate which is now around 90 per cent, Secretary Narcotics, Ajaz Ali Khan informed the committee. Senator Rahman Malik presided over the meeting.
The members of the committee including Senators Shahi Syed, Syed Tahir Hussain Mashahdi, Israrullah Khan Zehri, Jehanzeb Jamaldini, Chaudhry Tanwir Khan, Muhammad Javed Abbasi, Syed Shibli Faraz and Barrister Saif attended the meeting.-PR
