The Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) Chief Executive has suspended three Sub Divisional Officers (SDOs) and a line superintendent for their failure of removing direct hocks, negligence from duty and poor performance and directed them to report to the headquarter immediately. Chief Executive PESCO Engr Anwarul Haq Yousafzai and Chief Engineer Operations, Muhammad Iqbal Marwat raided different areas at Gul Bela and Daudzai sub divisions in Peshawar Circle and took strong notice of the abundance of direct hocks (Kundas) there.
On this, the CE PESCO suspended SDO Lala Yousaf Hussain, SDO Gul Bela Shahid Afridi, SDO Daudzai Khalid Khan and Line Superintendent Daudzai Shahid with immediate effect with direction to report the PESCO headquarter forthwith.
The PESCO Chief warned all SDOs to expedite campaign against kundas (direct hocks) and power stealing and take necessary legal action against elements involved in power stealing through direct hocks. Otherwise, he said, strict disciplinary action would be taken against them.
