The Political Administration (PA) in Bajaur Agency have taken serious notice over in payment of salaries of the month of June to scores of government employees in the region and ordered probe in to the matter, officials of the political administration told.
The administration had taken serious notice over non-payment of salaries to a number of government employees in the region for the month of June before Eid by some private sectors banks and decided to investigate the matter in order to find out the actual causes of the issue," the officials added.
According to the officials, the administration had taken the notice following receiving complaints from a number of government employees about not getting their salaries of the month of June before Eid by the relevant banks. They mentioned that an inquiry committee comprising of officials of local administration has been formed to probe in to the matter.
The officials however said that the committee was likely to start its work from Monday when the banks reopen after Eid holidays. They told that the committee members would check the whole record of the banks and transaction made during the Monday. They said the committee would also examine the computer system of the relevant banks to confirm that either the system had really developed technical faults or not on that day. The committee would check all the reasons and causes of not giving the salaries to the government employees before Eid and will also talks to the high-up's of the relevant banks if needed,".
To a question, the officials did not specify the real number of government employees in the agency who had been deprived of their salaries of the month of June before Eid. We haven't yet received the actual data that how many government employees in the region had not been given their salaries but according to our information hundreds of workers of different departments were unable to get their salaries before Eid due to unknown reasons," they added They told that the administration has decided to take serious action against the banks officials in the agency who could found guilty for not paying salaries to scores of government employees before Eid without any technical fault in the computer system.
