National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arrested Rooman Zaheer, Additional Director (BPS-19) employee of NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the charges of corruption. The accused Rooman Zaheer is prima facie involved in and have committed the offence of corruption and corrupt practices with the connivance of others which is cognisable under National Accountability Ordinance, 1999. The accused dishonestly, fraudulently, illegally received pecuniary advantage under the garb of closure of inquiry of NAB.
The arrest warrants of accused were issued by Director General NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is worth mentioning here that NAB is an apex anti-corruption body and amongst corrupt element the top priority is its own employees if they found indulged in corruption and corruption practices.
As per loud and clear instruction of Qamar Zaman Chaudhary Chairman NAB regarding Zero Tolerance against corruption, NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took this step to convert the dream of establishing a corruption free society into reality. The accused will be produced before the accountability court for obtaining his physical remand into NAB custody.
