The country's readymade garments export rose to $1.993 billion in July-May 2015-16, up by five percent, official figures said. The rise in readymade garments export stands at $9.1931 million in July-May 2015-16 from 1.901 billion in July-May 2014-15, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics said. Quantity of readymade garments export went up to 29,193,000 dozens in July-May 2015-16 from 28,110,000 dozens in July-May 2014-15, up by four percent or 1, 083, 000 dozens.
In May 2016, readymade garments export mounted to $195.197 million from $186.110 million in May 2015, up by five percent or $9.087 million. In term of volume, readymade garments export posted an increase of 2.23 percent or 87,000 dozens to 2,780,000 dozens in May 2016 from 2,693,000 dozens in May 2015.
