EU rapeseed oil prices on the European vegetable oils market were mostly higher on Thursday, boosted by gains in Chicago soyabean oil futures. EU rapeseed oil offers were unchanged to 4.00 euros a tonne higher with November-January last traded at 704 euros, up 3.00 euros from the last business on Wednesday. CBOT soyaoil futures were 1.2 percent higher at 31.63 cents a lb at 1625 GMT.
Palm oil prices were little changed, consolidating after the previous day's advance which was linked to a pick up in Malaysian exports. Exports of Malaysian palm oil products for July 1-20 rose 14 percent from a month earlier, cargo surveyor Intertek Testing Services said on Wednesday, while Societe Generale de Surveillance reported 15.3 percent export growth.
Malaysian palm oil futures extended gains on Thursday, climbing to the highest in more than two weeks with prices underpinned by strong demand for the vegetable oil. RBD palm olein for October/December shipment last traded at $597.50 a tonne, down $2.50 from the last business on Wednesday.
