Most of the rivers were in low and medium flood and some were flowing normally, said a release of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issued here on Sunday. River Kabul was in medium flood at Warsak and Nowshera with 41600 and 27580 cusecs water discharge respectively.
Medium level flood was also recorded in Indus River with water discharge of 293020 cusecs at Attock and Khairabad areas while low flood has been recorded.
Actual river flows and reservoir elevations indicate that Tarbela and Mangla reservoirs are at elevations of 1516.80 feet and 1228.55 feet respectively, which are 33.20 feet and 13.45 feet below their respective Maximum Conservation Levels of 1550.00 feet and 1242.00 feet. Sunday's combined live storage capacity of Tarbela, Chashma and Mangla reservoirs is 10.962 MAF as compared to last year's 12.445 MAF.
According to PDMA River Panjkora was in low flood at Dir with 10796 cusecs water discharge while River Swat is in medium flood at Munda Head works having 17386 cusecs water discharge.
River Swat was recorded in low flood at Khiali area in Charsadda with 16377 cusecs water discharge while it is flowing normally at Khwazakhela and Chakdara bridge.
Similarly, River Shah Alam was also in low floods at Takhabad area having water discharge of 5587 cusecs and River Adezai is in medium floods with 46900 cusecs water discharge at Adezai bridge.
The report shows that Jindi River, Kalpani nullah, Kurram and Kunhar rivers were flowing normally with 336, 3368, 1890 and 6517 cusecs water discharge respectively at Charsadda, Mardan city, Kurram Garhi Head Works and at Balakot.
