Chief Justice of Lahore High Court here Monday maintaining the office objection dismissed a petition seeking registration of a case against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over genocide of Kashmiris. Chief Justice observed that the petitioner should approach the justice of peace first. The LHC registrar had raised the objection that it was not the proper forum for this post.
Rana Abdul Hameed advocate submitted in his petition that Indian forces had killed more than a hundred Kashmirs and injured others, including with eye injuries. He said that a major grievance of those protesting in Kashmir is the failure of authorities to respect basic human rights. He claimed that Modi being head of the government was responsible of these killings and tortured on people of Indian held Kashmir.
