A World Bank delegation led by task team leader Anna O'Donmell, made up of senior development specialist Jana El-Horr and consultant Shan Rehman visited the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) on Thursday where Chairman Umar Saif gave a comprehensive presentation on the board's projects, including the e-Rozgar programme.
The meeting evaluated and discussed the pilot project for jobs and growth in the digital economy. Dr Saif briefing on progress and the future plans of the project said the board would be setting up e-Rozgar centres in all 36 districts of the Punjab to provide vast opportunities of respectful and quick employment to the youth. He said, "Pakistan is the third largest country in the world in freelance entrepreneurs so the e-Rozgar programme will improve it further.
