Pakistan, Indonesia: bilateral trade volume up by over 300 percent in five years: CG

Indonesian Consul General Hadi Santoso has said volume of bilateral trade between Pakistan and Indonesia has increased by over 300 percent in the last five years and steps were being taken to increase this further.
Speaking at a meeting of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), he said the volume of bilateral trade in 2010 was $700 million, which has crossed $2.3 billion in 2016.
He said that Indonesia had exemplary diplomatic and political ties with Pakistan. Role of FPCCI has a great significance in promotion of the bilateral trade relations, he added.
"The Indonesian government is eager to provide maximum facilities to Pakistani businessmen for investment to increase the bilateral trade and harmony," he said.
Senior Vice President FPCCI S. Khalid Tawab said FPCCI will play its role to boost trade and cooperation in different sectors with Indonesia.
