Company head office raided for tax evasion

Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue, Islamabad has conducted a raid on Head Office of a company in Chakwal with the help of local police and decided to register an FIR against the unit for committing tax fraud. Sources told Business Recorder here on Wednesday that during the raid, computer's record was taken in custody.
Pehlwaan group is famous for its Rewri all over Pakistan and abroad. Initial investigation showed that Pehlwaan (Pvt) Ltd is involved in sales tax and income tax evasion. They were maintaining 19 undeclared bank account in the name of Directors of Pehlwaan (Pvt) Ltd. Pehlwaan (Pvt) Ltd has suppressed its sales to the tune of millions of Rupees. The Directorate is investigating the case further and it is preparing an FIR on the charge of tax fraud against Pehlwaan (Pvt) Ltd and its Directors.
