Shabir Ahmed is one of the leading exporters of Houshold Linen from Pakistan. He has been in the business for the last many years. Considering his rich contributions to promoting the sector globally, he was elected President of Pakistan Bedwear Association in 1985. Currently, he is the Patron-in-Chief of the Association.
Shabbir Ahmed has never hesitated in making himself available to the Ministry of Commerce whenever his advice has been sought. He has served on the Board of the Export Development Fund and is also a former member of the Export Advisory Council of the Ministry.
In conferring on him the civil award of "Chevalier De L'Ordre National Du Merite", the Govemment of France has recognised the key role he has played in promoting trade and commercial links between Pakistan and France. I take this opportunity to congratulate Shabir Ahmed on the well deserved honour bestowed on him by the Government of France.
