The Vice Chancellor Dawood University Karachi Professor Dr Faizullah Abbasi has said that metallurgy and material engineering has the great scope in the country and there is the need that youth should be motivate to take command in this kind of engineering and make their future bright. He expressed these remarks while speaking as chief guest at the daylong national conference on "Metallurgy and materials" organised by the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro on Thursday.
He said that materials science has the key component to all fields of engineering and its boundaries are so wide for providing opportunities of rapid success to youth of the country. The new generation of the country is active and has ability to make room for better future, he added.
He congratulated the management of Mehran University for organising national conference on an important subject and hoped it will help to scholars and graduates regarding importance of materials science. The Vice Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro Professor Dr Muhammad Asalm Uqaili in his presidential remarks said that materials engineering has great importance ion other wings of engineering because of its wide range.
He called upon the engineers of the country to come forward and play their key role in introducing the materials science so that the youth could be motivated to join this important field of engineering. Besides national conference on metallurgy and material science, he said that intentional level conferences are need of the hour.
He said that Mehran University is known of its research activities in Pakistan and it is first public university which was acknowledged with acceptance of its two patents out of seven. The research of scholars and graduates in metallurgy field will bring new dimensions for the betterment of the country, he added.
